Situated in some cable's lengths of the lighthouse and the harbour station, the hotel of the Lighthouse is the ideal base to visit landing beaches, Caen and his Museum of the Memorial either still Bayeux, its cathedral and its tapestry, even Mont Saint-Michel.
Honfleur may only be a small town, but it is the birthplace of many important people, mainly sailors and artists.
More than any others, Eugène Boudin, one of the pioneers of the impressionist movement, and Erik Satie, a gifted artist, left their mark in the art world.
Religious art is particularly present in Honfleur. The few religious buildings which resisted the various attacks in the past, are the best examples, such as Sainte Catherine’s church and its separate bell tower.
